Lineage
New York City Diesel arrived on the scene in the early 2000s, as a cross between landrace strains from Mexico and Afghanistan. It is known for its cerebral, relaxing and pain relieving effects.
Acid was one of the earliest Paradise Seeds cannabis strains that gave a distinct twist to a popular original. A Diesel mother plant was crossed with our favorite Dutch genetics to enhance the indica element in this hybrid cannabis plant. This produces a more intense relaxation effect and increased strength.
The name Acid was inspired by the taste but also by the effect, which can often bring with it enhanced sensory experience and a shift in consciousness.
Aromas and Flavours
The taste and smell, which inspired the name Acid, is specific – metallic and slightly petrol – in keeping with the distinctive flavor of Sour Diesel.
Acid is extremely fruity in the grow room and the bouquet of this cannabis plant is one of the characteristics which makes it so appealing to many growers. The terpene profile is a wonderful balanced mix of Ocimene, Terpinolene, Limonene and Pinene. Once dried the buds retain a hint of fruit. but with an accompanying diesel/metallic taste which was prominent enough to inspire the name of this strain.
Cultivation
Difficulty level: Medium
Indoors: Acid cannabis seeds produce a strain that is an excellent performer. It will achieve a manageable height (approximately 110 cm), producing branches that bulge with dense colas, bringing a powerful fruity aroma to your grow room as harvest time approaches. A word of warning – make sure your filters are functioning well to ensure the overpowering aroma of fruit remains inside your grow room.
Outdoors: Acid will grow well in most regions, including those with a more moderate climate. However, it will really thrive in the warmth and sun of more Mediterranean conditions where its sativa genes will see it stretch for the sun (approximately 200 cm in height) and possibly even exceed our suggested yields.
Yield and Presentation
Acid is a cannabis strain that has a reputation for growing big and producing an excellent harvest with the right management. Buds are dense, heavy and often display a pointedness in form.

Acid cannabis seeds are suitable for growing outside between 50º n.L./ 50º s.L.. This plant finishes at the end of October outdoors (n.L.) and between 9 – 10 weeks inside. Estimated yield is 400 g per m² indoors / 700 g per plant outdoors.
